Mercy Orthopedic Hospital in Springfield, MO is an all-in-one experience for patients needing orthopedic care. The 199,000-square-foot facility features four floors of dedicated orthopedic services with space for orthopedic surgeon offices, diagnostic services, rehabilitation and more:

  • 48 private inpatient beds

  • Pre-op and post-op areas

  • Clinic space for 24-32 orthopedic physicians

The greatest feature of our new orthopedic hospital is our team of dedicated doctors, nurses and staff. These professionals provide the exceptional care for which Mercy is known, with an emphasis on improving individual functional ability and quality of life.
The Nurse Navigator manages the operations of the patient care unit on a particular shift. They are leaders who provide support, mentorship, and guidance to those who provide direct patient care. The Nurse Navigator will coordinate the delivery of patient care by determining staffing needs and making patient assignments by choosing the right assignment for the right person. The Nurse Navigator will ensure that all patients receive timely, safe, effective and high quality care. They coordinate the patient's plan of care with the bedside nurse. The Nurse Navigator will set the expectations regarding professional conduct and serves as a resource for the patient care unit. The Nurse Navigator will hold direct and indirect care providers accountable for their professional responsibilities and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Responsible for management for the assigned inpatient Care Management population. This position is designed to facilitate an effective process of the new care model; supporting quality patient care, safety and financial components; promoting integration of a seamless care model; coordinating patient discharge planning for post acute services, length of stay (LOS) management and utilization management; collaborating to include coordination as evidenced by metrics, optimizing performance and adoption of best practice. Responsible for pre-op education, daily physician rounding while the patient is in the hospital, and patient discharge disposition.
Position Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing,
Licensure: Current License in the state of employment.
Experience: 2-3 years acute care hospital setting.
Certifications: BLS (CPR) at hire date, Minimum Required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
